Looking forward to tonight’s “Flower Power” class. Potted bulbs await tonight’s painting participants.  We will also discuss ways to garden that are bee, butterfly, bird and small-beast friendly. Basically, stay away from synthetic toxic pesticides and use organic compost rather than synthetic fertilizers.

Tomorrow about forty EPCHS students and art teachers Ellie Herget and Kristina Davidson will visit the studio and create a mini recycled pallet art piece with Hive instructor Ricky Tockes.  These are small replicas of the type of artwork Ricky currently has on exhibit at The Hive. Ricky will work with half of the group at a time during their visit to the Contemporary Art Center.  The students had hoped to visit the new Riverfront Museum as part of their gallery walk field trip but it is currently between art exhibits, so they will have time for a hands-on activity with us. Yeah!

Next Wednesday Ricky will offer an architectural drawing class at the studio from 6:00 – 8:00.  See the description on our calendar or our Facebook page.
